The goal of this assignment create a powerful defense with strong examples. We focused on presenting and then deconstructing a counter argument to strengthen our own claim.

I chose to analyze La noire de... by director Ousmane Sembène. In this essay, I explore the symbolism of the mask, an object that is present throughout the film.
